Financial and Reporting Analyst
About The Position
The Financial Reporting Analyst prepares financial reporting documents and coordinates financial management activities. The role provides financial reporting, analysis, and coordination, and is responsible for accounting and financial reporting activities for multi-organizational systems supporting MCVH, MCVP, VCU, MCVF, and other organizations. The analyst also performs standard and ad hoc financial analyses for senior management. The position manages departmental accounting and financial reporting activity, performs detailed financial analysis and makes recommendations, determines appropriate methods for financial transactions and reporting, proactively identifies potential issues and recommends responses, and coordinates adjustments within multiple organizational accounting systems as needed.
Requirements
- At least three years of progressively responsible financial or accounting experience.
- At least one year of experience in budget preparation or financial reporting.
- Previous experience at an intermediate or advanced level with Microsoft products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited program; equivalent training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Nice To Haves
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in financial management and reporting in a health system or physician practice.
- Master’s degree in Business or Finance from an accredited program.
