About The Position

Banyan Search is recruiting a Financial Analyst for a well-established and growing organization based in Winston Salem. The position reports to senior finance leadership and owns the company’s financial reporting. It also provides analysis, forecasting, and insights to support leadership decision-making. Local candidates only. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statements.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain numbers to non-finance leaders.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with multiple systems and implementations.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and distribute accurate internal and external financial reports and dashboards.
• Analyze financial and operating results, including trends, variances, and key performance drivers.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, and build the supporting templates and models.
• Provide ad hoc analysis for leadership, including project and investment returns and scenario modeling.
• Pull data from multiple sources into clear, reliable reports.
• Help evaluate and implement new reporting and analytics tools.
• Identify ways to automate reports and improve information flow between teams.
• Partner with the accounting team to keep reporting accurate and consistent with GAAP.
