About The Position

Lawrie Insurance Group (LIG) is seeking a Financial Analyst in their Employee Benefits department. LIG is a Canadian based, privately-owned leader in commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits, group retirement solutions and life and living benefits. As one of the largest and most trusted insurance organizations in Canada, LIG works with every major insurer in Canada and has a global network of brokers to create leading-edge solutions. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing client information to discover the story behind the numbers to allow clients to make the best-informed decisions regarding their benefits offerings. The role involves working with internal Benefits Advisors and Insurance carrier contacts to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of client service standards. LIG provides training for this role.

Requirements

  • Excellent organization skills
  • Solid analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work with multiple team members on multiple clients
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Work as a team with Employee Benefit Advisors to retain assigned book of business by providing superior analysis and service in a timely manner
  • Accurate maintenance of client records
  • Review monthly and quarterly reports produced for clients
  • Renewal analysis, negotiations and custom presentation creation
  • Identify claiming patterns and highlight changes or results outside the norm
