About The Position

VMG Health is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Compensation Valuation team. The role supports valuation engagements for healthcare clients by conducting financial analyses, building Excel valuation models, performing due diligence and market research, and writing reports. The position also involves gathering client and industry information, managing project timelines, communicating project progress, and contributing to articles and presentations. The work is hybrid, with four days in the office and minimal travel.

Requirements

Pursuing or completed a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, and/or economics.
Strong knowledge of financial theory and/or economics.
Financial modeling experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel experience.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-form instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.

Nice To Haves

Actively pursuing continuing education and professional certifications such as CFA, NACVA, ASA, or CPA.

Responsibilities

Gather financial statements, operational reports, industry and market research, and other information needed to deliver contracted products to clients.
Construct and take ownership of complex financial models.
Perform financial analyses, develop financial models, conduct due diligence, and write reports.
Review work to ensure excellence.
Participate in meetings and site visits as needed and as determined by leaders.
Keep projects and deliverables on the schedules established with clients.
Keep relevant team members informed of project progress and promptly inform a leader of circumstances that could impede or jeopardize timelines.
Help author internal and external articles and presentations to develop as a thought leader in the industry.
Complete administrative functions, mandatory training, and other internal responsibilities in a timely manner.
Remain flexible and adaptable in work schedule and assignments according to departmental and company needs.
