About The Position

VMG Health is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Compensation Valuation team. The role supports clients in the healthcare industry by performing financial analyses, valuation modeling, due diligence, market research, and report writing. The analyst gathers financial, operational, industry, and market information needed to deliver client engagements; builds and owns complex financial models; and helps ensure project deliverables meet client schedules and quality standards. The position may involve meetings and site visits, minimal travel, and a hybrid schedule with four days in the office.

Requirements

• Pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, and/or economics.
• Strong knowledge of financial theory and/or economics.
• Financial modeling experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and commitment to continuous learning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel experience and knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-form instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.

Nice To Haves

• Actively pursue continuing education and professional certifications such as CFA, NACVA, ASA, or CPA.

Responsibilities

• Gather financial statements, operational reports, industry and market research, and other information needed to deliver contracted client work.
• Construct and take ownership of complex financial models.
• Perform financial analyses, due diligence, and report writing, and review work for quality.
• Participate in meetings and site visits as directed by leaders.
• Keep projects and deliverables on the schedule established with clients, update relevant team members on progress, and promptly alert a leader to circumstances that could jeopardize timelines.
• Help author internal and external articles and presentations to develop as a thought leader in the industry.
• Complete administrative functions, mandatory training, and other internal responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Remain flexible and adaptable in work schedule and assignments according to departmental and company needs.
• Contribute to a positive work environment.
