About The Position

The FP&A Analyst is a critical member of Allvue’s Finance organization, providing analytical, business, planning, and systems support to company leaders and supporting company consolidation requirements. The role prepares components of budgets and forecasts, performs P&L variance reporting, and develops monthly and quarterly executive variance summaries for management. It involves obtaining and discussing financial data with management; evaluating data for accuracy, reasonableness, and significant trends; conducting margin and key-driver analyses; and participating in business-case modeling and financial analysis related to key profit areas. The analyst also contributes to balance sheet and cash flow projections.

The position supports financial planning and decision-making through financial modeling, reporting, systems improvements, and collaboration with stakeholders across Finance and the wider organization. It works with Accounting to validate financial information and communicates relevant performance trends and analytical findings to business partners.

Requirements

• Demonstrated financial analysis and modeling capability, including the ability to evaluate financial information and identify relevant trends and variances.
• Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, and financial performance reporting.
• Ability to exercise judgment within established financial processes and determine appropriate analytical approaches based on available information.
• Ability to communicate financial findings clearly and work effectively with cross-functional business partners.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience analyzing income statements.
• Working proficiency with financial planning, ERP, or reporting systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, Oracle, Hyperion Essbase, SAP, or comparable platforms.
• Financial modeling and reporting proficiency appropriate to the requirements of an FP&A role.
• Professional written and verbal English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of related finance experience.
• Experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, modeling, or related FP&A activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate components of budgets, forecasts, key-driver analyses, and variance reporting to support management planning and decision-making.
• Analyze financial results for accuracy, reasonableness, significant variances, and emerging trends, escalating material findings as appropriate.
• Develop driver-based financial models to evaluate P&L implications, return on investment, revenue, expenses, margins, and other key business drivers.
• Support balance sheet and cash flow projections and related financial analyses.
• Participate in business-case modeling and other financial analyses supporting key areas of business performance.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analyses and executive variance summaries that communicate financial performance and key drivers.
• Develop and maintain revenue, expense, and performance analyses used to inform business decisions.
• Enhance existing financial reporting and dashboards to improve the quality, efficiency, and usability of financial information.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial systems, reporting tools, and analytical capabilities.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to provide financial planning and analytical support within established Finance processes.
• Collaborate with Accounting to validate the accuracy and completeness of financial information used in forecasts, reporting, and analysis.
• Obtain and evaluate financial and operational information from business partners and communicate relevant trends, variances, and analytical findings.
• Build productive working relationships across Finance and the broader organization to support timely completion of planning and reporting requirements.
