About The Position

The University of Tennessee Foundation, Inc. (UTFI) is hiring a Financial Specialist to assist with fiduciary oversight of the Foundation. The role reports to the Executive Director of Accounting and Finance Operations and supports financial operations, procurement card processing, accounts payable, travel reimbursement auditing, and communication with staff and peers.

The position requires an associate’s degree and at least six months of experience in an office environment. A bachelor’s degree in business or accounting is preferred. The target start date is December 2026.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and interact with peers and staff, using active listening and clear, concise communication.
• Monitor the business office email inbox.
• Enter system-wide procurement card statements into Oracle ERP, including reviewing and assigning GL accounts.
• Review invoices for compliance with fiscal policy and enter them accurately into Oracle ERP.
• Assist with expense auditing as needed to prevent duplicate reimbursements and ensure employee compliance with fiscal policy.
