About The Position

As a Financial Analyst at Coborn’s, you’ll play an important role in helping leaders understand the story behind the numbers and turn financial insights into meaningful action. Through financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, you’ll partner with leaders across the organization to evaluate performance, uncover trends and opportunities, and support decisions that move our business forward. This is more than a reporting role. You’ll have the opportunity to dig into the business, ask the right questions, build tools and financial models, and provide insights that help teams make informed decisions. From analyzing key performance indicators to evaluating investments and improving forecasting processes, your work will have visibility and impact across the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • One (1) to four (4) years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, or related financial disciplines.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and analyses.
  • Experience utilizing financial systems, advanced spreadsheet applications, and Power BI preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, budgeting, and financial planning concepts.
  • Ability to develop financial models and perform quantitative analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to build collaborative relationships across departments.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience utilizing ERP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to business locations on a limited basis as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and key performance indicators.
  • Identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities that impact business performance.
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives, investments, and operational decisions.
  • Create financial and operational reports, dashboards, and scorecards that improve visibility into performance.
  • Analyze key business drivers including sales, labor, margin, expenses, inventory, and productivity.
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for business leaders.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to understand business needs and financial results.
  • Provide financial recommendations that support informed decision-making and accountability.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial reporting, forecasting, and planning processes.
  • Support enhancements to financial systems, reporting tools, and data solutions.
  • Help improve efficiency, accuracy, and financial visibility across the organization.
