About The Position

Hallmark's Corporate Accounting and Reporting department is responsible for the company's financial reporting process, connecting financial results to business decisions. The team manages consolidated internal and external reporting, ensures accounting records comply with GAAP and Hallmark policies, and collaborates with other departments to provide reliable accounting support and financial insights. This role offers an opportunity to build an accounting career while gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of businesses and corporate functions. The Financial Analyst will support the close process, prepare financial reporting, complete account reconciliations, analyze financial information, support forecasts and plans, and ensure capital spend is accurately recorded and aligned with Hallmark policies. The role emphasizes growth in a collaborative environment that values curiosity, organization, communication, and resourcefulness. It is ideal for candidates with experience in accounting, financial and operating reporting, public accounting, systems, reconciliations, or automation tools, looking to strengthen their technical accounting foundation and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business
  • At least one (1) year of experience in accounting, reporting or public accounting
  • Experience using Microsoft excel

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications or advanced degrees (Masters of Accountancy, CPA, MBA)
  • Knowledge of GAAP and its application with technical accounting research experience
  • Prior experience in public accounting
  • Experience with accounting and consolidation systems (SAP and HFM preferred)
  • Experience with account reconciliation software (Blackline preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate or similar tools
  • Great organizational skills and resourcefulness with the ability to identify and solve problems
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
