About The Position

Prime Group is seeking a Construction Financial Analyst to support financial analysis and reporting across their construction and development projects. This role focuses on evaluating financial performance, rates of return, working capital, and investment performance throughout the construction lifecycle. The Financial Analyst will play a key part in helping the organization make informed, data-driven decisions on active and upcoming construction ventures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within construction or real estate
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and financial/accounting systems (e.g., Sage 300)
• Ability to interpret business documents, write clear reports, and present information effectively
• Strong math skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and probability
• Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and manage diverse issues
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Analyze actual construction project performance against financial forecasts and budgets
• Collaborate with Operations and Construction teams on business strategy, pricing, and contract reviews
• Assess the financial performance of construction assets, both current and future
• Prepare proformas and conduct financial analysis for new and ongoing construction projects
• Conduct due diligence for new construction projects and provide investor and bank reports
• Review Capital Expenditure requests for ROI and cash payback
• Track and analyze construction draw schedules, budgets, and cost variances
• Prepare internal financial reports for leadership
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and evaluate cost-saving proposals from Operations
• Perform additional duties as required
