About The Position

Trust Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified Financial Analyst to support the Department of Transportation in Washington, DC. This role involves working with DOT-specific databases such as DELPHI and PRISM, responding to queries related to the Data Act, and working with USASpending to ensure compliance with reporting requirements. The Financial Analyst may also oversee Federal grant funds associated with the national highway safety grant program and will be required to have a strong background in Federal government accounting policies and procedures. Responsibilities include reconciling and analyzing accounting reports and data, reviewing SF-133s, financial statements and notes, reviewing journal vouchers, Snapshot reports, and Quarterly Civil Penalties reports, preparing record entries in BEM, preparing unobligated balance reports, and A-123 documentation. The individual will also work with program/budget staff to resolve issues with DELPHI.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of government experience desired.
  • Strong background in Federal government accounting policies and procedures is required.

Responsibilities

  • Work with DOT-specific databases such as DELPHI and PRISM.
  • Respond to quires related to the Data Act.
  • Work with USASending to help ensure NHTSA complies with various reporting requirements.
  • Oversee Federal grant funds associated with the national highway safety grant program.
  • Reconcile and analyze various accounting reports and data.
  • Review SF-133s, financial statements and notes.
  • Review journal vouchers, Snapshot reports (Monthly Travel Reports) and Quarterly Civil Penalties reports.
  • Prepare record entries in BEM (Budget authority and apportionments).
  • Prepare unobligated balance reports for management.
  • Prepare A-123 documentation for Financial Management.
  • Work with program/budget staff to help resolve issues and or discrepancies with DELPHI.
