About The Position

MetCap Living Management Inc. is one of Canada’s largest private third-party property managers specializing in multi-residential property management. We are a growth-oriented company with our head office located in Toronto, Ontario and property operations in Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec and Nova Scotia. Presently we own/manage over $2 billion in residential assets. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working self-starter for the position of Financial Analyst.

Requirements

• Business Management degree
• CPA designation or working towards it.
• 3-5 years’ experience
• Advanced excel skills, comfortable manipulation and interpretation of large amounts of data
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities

• Yardi software an asset

Responsibilities

• Support rent increase process by reviewing and analyzing Capital Expenditures
• Plan, organize and support the budgeting process by preparing of utility and revenue budgets using complex financial models.
• Review and understand utility rates and include this data in reporting as appropriate; maintain, review and analyze utilities bills. Review variances and provide reports on consumption trends.
• Responsible for all aspects of realty tax matters for all relevant provinces including reporting compliance, overseeing the tax appeal process utilizing third party consultants.
• Work with and support various teams on transition of properties.
• Provide timely analysis and interpretation of financial and operational performance, including budget comparisons and trend insights to support management’s business, budgeting, and strategic decisions while highlighting key findings.
• Preparation of ad hoc financial modelling analysis and data models in Excel and/or other tools to support business needs.
