About The Position

The Financial Analyst II performs a full range of finance and accounting functions for the agency. Will use technical skills in financial management to assist the Vice President of Finance with decision-making and analysis for Agency financial strength and performance. Has an active role in the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, analysis, ad-hoc reporting, and analyzes budget variances for program revenues and expenses. Responsible to analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and reporting. Participates in the month end closing process by preparing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis.
• Provide financial reporting including analyzing revenue and expense trends.
• Analyze monthly program budgets and research material variances.
• Analyze data independently and submit findings.
• Identify potential variances in budgets and effectively communicate.
• Prepare and enter monthly journal entries.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
