About The Position

Under the direction of the Controller, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for capturing and reporting monthly forecasts and annual budget for VTech Electronics North America. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for participating in the month end close process, working on special projects and analysis as needed.

Requirements

  • Flexible and willing to perform both Finance and Accounting duties.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle preferred) with reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of BI (Business Intelligence) systems (MicroStrategy preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage time efficiently in order to meet changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a high-pressure environment and across different time zones, demonstrating can-do attitude and flexibility with changing schedules, scopes and priorities.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in the area of Budgeting/Forecasting and Accounting experience in distribution or manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field; or any combination of experience and education that provides the necessary skills, knowledge and ability to perform essential functions of this role.
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree is desirable.
  • CPA Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the monthly Forecast information; identify and communicate the highlights and key changes; review revenue for pricing and margin integrity.
  • Accountable for the Annual Budget information, schedule preparation including preparing Oracle upload file(s) to Hong Kong; identify and communicate the highlights and key changes.
  • Participate in the month end close process.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and analysis.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Responsible for coordinating quarterly tax credit schedule completion for Hong Kong Finance team.
  • Responsible for maintaining Product/Landed Cost files to ensure system (Oracle) costs are updated and accurate.
  • Assist in driving the utilization of our ERP system (Oracle) and current/future reporting tool(s).
  • Incorporate key financial metrics/statistics to validate the financial data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist Controller in identifying opportunities to drive process improvements utilizing existing company system resources.
  • Work onsite at the office on identified company-wide mandatory all hands in-office days (typically Tuesdays and Thursdays), as well as any other days as required to support business needs.
  • Collaborate through communication and teamwork with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous, and professional manner.
  • Exercise sound business judgment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively and manage time effectively in order to meet changing deadlines and priorities.
