This role will be based in Waterloo. The Segregated Funds' Financial Management (SFFM) team within Group Retirement Services Finance is responsible for the daily valuation, accounting control, and financial reporting for over 500 Segregated Funds. The Financial Analyst – Co-op will be responsible for the preparation of year-end tax and financial statement reporting for SFFM. This role will provide the student the opportunity to learn about segregated funds within an insurance company. In addition it will provide exposure to preparing IFRS financial statements and notes for the segregated funds’ annual report and reconciliations. The role will also allow the student to further develop critical thinking skills and professional judgement in evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of internal financial reporting controls.
