About The Position

This role offers an opportunity to join Qualcomm’s Finance Integration Management Office and play a key role in executing and leading finance integrations for mergers and acquisitions. The position will lead finance integration workstreams for acquired assets or companies globally and partner closely with target company finance teams, Corporate Development, Legal, Strategic Finance, and other cross‑functional stakeholders. Based in San Diego, CA, this role requires a hands‑on, analytical finance professional who is comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment and navigating complex, global integrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
  • 5–7+ years of relevant experience in corporate accounting or finance, FP&A, external audit, internal audit, or related finance functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial topics to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, matrixed teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Proven hands‑on, proactive approach with strong ownership mindset.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global environment across multiple time zones.
  • Experience supporting business unit finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead finance integration activities for mergers and acquisitions, from deal execution through post‑close integration.
  • Prepare and review key deal analyses, including net working capital assessments, closing payment schedules, and purchase price considerations.
  • Review projected financials for target companies, monitor liquidity and funding needs, and support forecasting and planning requirements for business unit finance, treasury and accounting teams.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate finance‑related integration risks, and support the design and execution of integration plans.
  • Support finance project management activities, including development of finance workplan updates and reporting for the Integration Management Office.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Corporate Development, Legal, Strategic Finance, and business unit finance teams to ensure smooth execution of integration milestones.
  • Perform ad hoc financial and operational analyses and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance finance integration processes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development, enhancement, and standardization of Qualcomm’s finance integration playbook, tools, and best practices.
  • Assist in identification, design and implementation of various AI tools throughout the finance integration processes.
