Financial Analyst II

This opportunity entails being responsible for preparing and analyzing financial data, trends, and performance to provide insights and recommendations to leadership. This position will involve comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and decision support activities, enabling the organization to make informed financial decisions. May support corporate, divisions, and specific duties will vary according to where the analyst is assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree and 2 years finance or related experience, or In lieu of education, 6 years finance or related experience
- Intermediate Excel & analytical skills
- Sound finance & business acumen
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyze trends, interpret data, and make recommendations.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Enhanced understanding and utilization of software applications and reporting platforms, demonstrating a growing level of expertise.
- Intermediate organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and self-directed.
Responsibilities
- Provides intermediate-level financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and modeling to support management decision-making.
- Synthesizes large amounts of data into meaningful summarized reports to enhance leadership’s ability to understand the information and make decisions.
- Assists in the basic design and development of business applications with Excel and/or HNTB Enterprise Reporting Solutions.
- Facilitates monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial planning activities.
- Generates, creates, and evaluates standard and ad hoc financial and business-related analysis under minimal guidance.
- Develops graphs, charts, and presentations to clearly show data trends and projections.
- Provides interpretation of data.
- Analyzes issues that affect Sales, Revenue, Earnings, and Cash.
- Partners with other groups/functions at the division and corporate levels, and other internal clients when appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
