The Department of Economic Security, Division of Financial Operations, Accounting Administration, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Financial Analyst 3. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Financial Analyst 3, is responsible for the rigorous financial management of assigned agency programs and centralized funds, ensuring that all general ledgers and applicable bank accounts are managed in strict adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and governmental accounting standards. Major duties include: managing the overall reconciliation of complex accounts; acting as the primary fiscal point of contact for internal and external auditors, overseeing the preparation and submission of federal and state financial reports; and developing strategic financial planning reports and projection models. This role serves as a premier fiscal subject matter expert, consulting with executive leadership on budget solutions, developing rigorous fiscal controls to mitigate audit risks, and managing chart of account elements in the statewide accounting system and applicable program sub-systems. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
