HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division is the largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi and a major contributor to the economic growth of Alabama, designing, building, and maintaining amphibious ships, destroyers, and cutters for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard for nearly 85 years. The Financial Analyst 3 performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure contracts adhere to negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines. This role involves preparing budgets and schedules for contract work, conducting financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis. The analyst also prepares program plans to capture and schedule program requirements and statements of work, ensures adequate funding by maintaining expenditure records, projecting expenditures, and requesting additional government funding. Additionally, the position incorporates contractual changes into control systems by tracking outstanding work to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
