The Opportunity The Financial Analyst works out of our Lake Forest, IL location on site in the Abbott ARDx ID Business Unit. This position will support the Infectious Diseases US Commercial ID NOW Covid, Flu, Strep, & RSV forecasting and reporting process. This role will work closely with commercial & finance business partners to provide meaningful business insights and improve forecast accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of relevant experience (internships are applicable as well as master's Degrees)

- Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Weekly Reporting: provide leadership with insights on season trends, distributor inventory DOH, instrument placements, and sales flash support.
- Prepare weekly product dashboards for leadership team.
- Support S&OP demand forecasting process.
- Prepare correlation analysis with external data points to better understand impact on ID sales and support scenario analysis for in season deliverables.
- Ownership of instrument dashboard reporting, census, and instruments running assays.
- Support ADHOC requests with analysis and meaningful insights for both commercial and finance business partners.
- Prepare quarterly LBE, Plan, Confirmation and several ad hoc sales forecasts.
- Ensure timely completion of all deliverables.
- Support forecast accuracy reporting to Business Unit with Root Cause Analysis towards a future improvement.
