About The Position

The Financial Accountant is responsible for assisting in a variety of tasks to support the company’s financial operations. This role ensures accurate and timely recording of transactions, reconciliations, and reporting. The Financial Accountant will work closely with team members across commercial and other departments to support financial reporting and responsibilities.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ accounting experience working in financial or asset accounting fields.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (desirable) or working towards.
• Experience with Financial ERP systems (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial accounts and accounting records.
• Assist with the preparation of account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial data for variances and provide explanations.
• Assist with the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual month-end close processes.
• Prepare general ledger journals, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Document in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
• Assist with physical asset verification.
• Closure of capital projects and recognition of assets to the balance sheet.
