About The Position

Reporting to Payroll & Benefits Supervisor, the Financial accountant will work on month end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, payroll & benefits, compliance, indirect tax, and other special projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
SAP experience is a must
4+ years of recent work experience in a related field.
Self-motivated with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and SAP.
Must have the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

master’s degree is a plus
Sales and Use tax and Blackline experience are preferred.
Accounting certification as a certified public accountant (CPA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
Prepare payroll, benefits and other entries.
Accounting support & reconciliations for the following: Intercompany, Payroll & benefits, Fixed assets & Capex, Right of use assets, Property tax and Heavy Equipment tax
Input financial data in BPC.
Validate sales tax exemption certificates and upload exemption certificates in OneSource.
Review accrued use tax and prepare use tax correction upload files.
Assist with internal and external audit.
Maintain SOX-compliant documentation
Participate in special projects as needed.
