About The Position

The Financial Accountant II role is a key position that drives financial precision and strategic insights across the organization. This role manages month-end close activities, including journal entries and account analyses, while conducting trend and variance analyses to provide actionable insights. This position demands technical excellence, attention to detail, and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration with Accounting concentration, or related fields with an accounting certification.
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Workday knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience in a multi-unit environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of GAAP and understanding of internal controls.
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare quarter-end and year-end audit schedules.
  • Conduct detailed account analyses, identifying trends and resolving outliers.
  • Analyze period-over-period and year-over-year trends and variances.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and participate in management projects.
  • Add value through analytical insights and continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal customers and management.
  • Develop technical skills for process improvements.
  • Work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately with team members and stakeholders.
