Finance Process Manager — Billing & Collections

MedPro Disposal•Naperville, IL
•Onsite

About The Position

The Finance Process Manager — Billing & Collections owns customer-facing finance lanes across billing, collections, and discounts. The position is accountable for accurate, complete, and timely billing; predictable conversion of billed revenue to cash; and the standards and output of the Philippines-based team that performs day-to-day execution. This is an ownership and oversight role rather than a processing role, applying senior accounting skills to the order-to-cash cycle through process design, controls, technology, and team leadership. The role reports to the Controller and oversees a Philippines-based team, with some oversight shared with the other Finance Process Manager. It is fully onsite at the Naperville, Illinois office, with no remote or hybrid option. The role also carries finance tasks that require physical presence in the office and involves daily collaboration across time zones, as well as client- and vendor-facing communication.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of accounting and financial operations experience, including at least 2 years owning a process area or managing a team.
  • Experience in a high-volume, transaction-intensive environment handling large numbers of invoices, payments, and customer accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience designing or improving processes and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated use of technology and automation to improve throughput and accuracy.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to commute to the Naperville, Illinois office daily; the role is fully onsite and not available remotely or in a hybrid arrangement.
  • Ability to work in a client- and vendor-facing role and collaborate daily with a team in a different time zone.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce, Striven, or a comparable CRM/ERP.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled finance tooling.
  • Experience in a recurring-revenue or service-contract business.
  • Experience standing up or restructuring a finance process rather than only running an established one.
  • Exposure to PCI-adjacent payment handling and its required controls.
  • Experience working within EOS or a similar operating framework.

Responsibilities

  • Own the billing function end to end across all product lines, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Own collections from proactive client outreach through escalation, recovery, and write-off.
  • Manage discount and service adjustment approvals, exercise approval authority, and facilitate cross-department escalations.
  • Lead and develop the Philippines-based team by setting standards, reviewing output, approving work, and maintaining a review rhythm.
  • Design, document, and continuously improve processes and internal controls for billing, collections, and cash handling so work is accurate, auditable, transferable, and coverable.
  • Use technology and automation, including ERP/CRM, reporting, and AI-enabled tools, to handle increasing volume without adding headcount.
  • Define, monitor, and report service levels for billing, adjustments, and team turnaround, and manage performance against them.
  • Partner with the Controller and wider Finance team on process improvement, reporting, and quarterly priorities.
  • Carry out finance tasks that require physical presence in the office.
