Finance Process Manager — Billing & Collections
About The Position
The Finance Process Manager — Billing & Collections owns the customer-facing finance lanes of billing, collections, and discounts, establishing clear accountability for their outcomes. This is an ownership and oversight role, not a processing role: a Philippines-based team performs day-to-day execution, while the manager sets standards and is accountable for results. The role applies senior accounting skills to the order-to-cash cycle by designing processes, setting controls, and using technology and an offshore team to support high-volume operations. The manager reports to the Controller and oversees a Philippines-based team, with some oversight shared with the other Finance Process Manager. The role is fully onsite at the Naperville, Illinois office and is not available remotely or on a hybrid basis. Candidates must be able to commute to the office daily. The position also carries finance tasks that require physical presence in the office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of accounting and financial operations experience, including at least 2 years owning a process area or managing a team.
- Experience in a high-volume, transaction-intensive environment involving large numbers of invoices, payments, and customer accounts.
- Demonstrated experience designing or improving processes and internal controls.
- Demonstrated use of technology and automation to improve throughput and accuracy.
- Strong Excel capability.
- Experience defining and managing service levels and turnaround standards.
- Experience working with or managing offshore resources, including daily collaboration across time zones.
- Working knowledge of billing, accounts receivable, and collections.
- Demonstrated experience managing or developing a team, with accountability for its output.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; the role is client- and vendor-facing and involves daily work with a team in a different time zone.
- Ability to commute daily to the Naperville, Illinois office for this fully onsite role.

- Familiarity with AI-enabled finance tooling.
- Experience in a recurring-revenue or service-contract business.
- Experience standing up or restructuring a finance process rather than only running an established one.
- Exposure to PCI-adjacent payment handling and its required controls.
- Experience working within an EOS or similar operating framework.
Responsibilities
- Own the billing function across all product lines, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Own the collections process, from proactive client outreach through escalation, recovery, and write-off.
- Manage discount and service adjustment approvals, exercise approval authority, and facilitate escalations across departments.
- Lead and develop the Philippines-based team by setting standards, reviewing output, approving work, and running the review cadence.
- Design, document, and continuously improve processes and internal controls across billing, collections, and cash handling so the work is accurate, auditable, transferable, and coverable.
- Use technology and automation, including ERP/CRM, reporting, and AI-enabled tools, to handle growing volume without adding headcount.
- Define, monitor, and report service levels for billing, adjustments, and team turnaround, and manage performance against them.
- Partner with the Controller and wider Finance team on process improvement, reporting, and quarterly priorities.
- Carry out finance tasks that require physical presence in the office.
