Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance/Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our team. This position will be responsible for managing accounts payable, and payroll processes, administering employee benefits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. A successful candidate will coordinate with multiple departments, manage competing priorities and meet hard deadlines consistently.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Business Admin, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (Dayforce/Ceridian), Microsoft Office Suite and Sharepoint.
  • Knowledge of Business Central or other ERP system is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of federal and provincial payroll regulations.
  • Must be able to follow SOPs, GMPs, and complete forms accurately.
  • Must be confident working in a team environment.
  • Flexibility of hours when necessary.
  • Reliable attendance is mandatory.
  • Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
  • Candidates with a valid Canadian work permit.

Nice To Haves

  • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Promote company’s core values: integrity, growth, and resilience.
  • Process accounts payable.
  • Process accurate and timely payroll for all employee groups, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
  • Administer group benefits programs (health, retirement), including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Reconcile benefits invoices and coordinate payments with finance.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
  • Prepare and distribute statutory documents such as T4s and Records of Employment (ROEs).
  • Ensure compliance with CRA, employment standards, and privacy legislation.
  • Support annual benefits renewals and open enrollment processes.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including reviewing invoices, resolving billing issues, and tracking service agreements.
  • Generate reports for HR and finance teams related to payroll, benefits usage, and cost tracking.
  • Assist with audits and maintain accurate documentation for payroll and benefits activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience, collaborating with HR and finance departments.
  • Support system upgrades and data integrity within payroll platforms.
