Finance Operations

About The Position

In one line: the hands-on execution engine of Finance Operations, strong skills in building processes and systems from the ground up -- someone who takes on the high-volume work that keeps Finance running while also working to scale finance functions across the company wherever the team needs it most. Finance Operations is the team that keeps the rails of Etched's finance machine running as the company scales -- the policies, processes, systems, and reporting that let everyone spend, buy, pay, and see the numbers cleanly and fast. Right now that work outpaces the people doing it. We're hiring someone to take on the high-volume, hands-on execution who will grow into a genuine finance operator capable of standing up new functions from 0 to 1, hiring the team who will own execution of the function, and then passing on the function to move onto the next project. The role is full-time and in person in San Jose, reports to the Finance Operations Lead, and targets a Q3 start; the simplest way to think about it is that this person will be mentored and trained by the current Finance Operations Lead as a founding member of the team to expand the team's bandwidth and allow Finance Operations to keep pace with the scale of company growth. Day to day, this person sits in the middle of nearly everything operational in Finance.
