About The Position

Synera's accounting currently lives largely outside our walls — in the hands of external partners we depend on but can't fully control. This role is for someone who wants to build what comes next: deciding which processes move in-house first, designing how they run, and then actually running them in a growing B2B SaaS company with entities in Germany and the US, and more to come. You'll join our Finance Flamingos — a small, tight-knit team with a clear mission: keep every Synerian's bureaucracy load as light as possible, and make all necessary processes as smooth and automated as technology and legal requirements allow. Together with Carmen, our Finance Lead, and our BusyBees (Business Operations), you'll make Synera's numbers speak to everyone who needs them — team leads, C-level, investors, authorities, and our board. This isn't a pure execution role, and it's not a pure strategy role either. It's the sweet spot: you'll assess which accounting and finance processes should move from our external partners to in-house, design how they should run, and then own the day-to-day execution. You'll bring the internal expertise we need to handle growing complexity across multiple entities and countries — covering everything from preparatory accounting and monthly closings to multi-entity consolidation, procure-to-pay, financial planning, and sales commissions. Along the way, you'll raise our reporting standards and drive automation wherever manual work still slows us down. Synera is in a phase of fast growth, and we want to be upfront about what that means for your career path with us. You’ll join as the senior individual contributor and have real ownership over what you build and run. However, we can't draw a clean ladder that says "in nine months, you'll be Accounting Lead." What we can offer is the chance to grow with the company: to help shape this role as our finance function evolves, and to take on more scope as we add entities, complexity, and team.
