About The Position

Under the direction of the Director, the Finance Officer – Accounts Payable is responsible for the financial, administrative and clerical duties related to the efficient processing of accounts payable transactions for the City of Iqaluit. This role will work with the finance team to ensure the organization’s expenditures are accurate and accounting practices are standardized across the organization.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • 1-2 year Diploma or Certificate in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in computerized accounting and accounts payable
  • Successful candidate would be required to submit a Criminal Record Check

Nice To Haves

  • Enrolment in a recognized accounting association
  • Ability to communicate in one or more of Nunavut’s official languages

Benefits

  • Salary: $86,067.80. per annum
  • Settlement Allowance: $20,907.43 per annum
