About The Position

Stowers Machinery is expanding into Southern Florida with the opening of Coastal Construction Equipment, LLC, the region's CAT Compact Equipment Dealer. This expansion aims to enhance customer support in sales, rental, parts, and service. The Finance Manager will lead the dealership’s finance and deal-structuring function, guiding a team to create compliant, profitable, and customer-focused financial solutions. This role oversees the entire sales financing lifecycle, from deal structuring and application preparation to documentation management and regulatory adherence. The position serves as a senior financial advisor to customers and the sales team, fostering relationships with Cat Financial and other lenders to secure competitive terms and timely funding. Through performance tracking and process optimization, the Finance Manager will ensure operational excellence, mitigate risks, and improve sales outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish & English.
  • Understanding of basic financing principles, deal structures, and the impact of financial decisions on customer value and organizational profitability.
  • General knowledge of legal, procedural, and risk-mitigation requirements related to financial transactions and customer documentation.
  • Ability to manage detailed paperwork, maintain accuracy, and oversee a smooth workflow across multiple steps in the sales and financing process.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, internal teams, and external partners, including issue resolution and trust-building.
  • Skill in leading teams, interpreting performance data, and driving process improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in sales support, finance, lending, or equipment dealership operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be able to pass background check, physical exam, and drug screening test.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and guide finance representatives in deal structuring and compliance tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives to structure deals that meet customer needs and dealer profitability goals.
  • Support sales representatives in closing deals, overcoming objections, and presenting value messages.
  • Ensure all required compliance checks, including lien searches and clearance, are completed for every deal.
  • Lead, manage, and coach finance representatives in preparing and processing financing documentation.
  • Prepare and submit finance applications to Cat Financial and alternative lenders.
  • Align each deal with Caterpillar Financial Services’ current programs, specials, and incentives.
  • Negotiate approvals, terms, and conditions to match customer credit profiles.
  • Mentor and train sales representatives on financing and deal structuring.
  • Advise customers on various financing solutions, including installment loans, finance leases, Cat Card, governmental financing, and Rental Purchase Options (RPOs).
  • Lead and oversee finance representatives responsible for preparing, collecting, and processing all deal documentation.
  • Oversee complete and accurate documentation for sales contracts, lease agreements, UCC filings, RPO conversions, customer insurance requirements, and government bidding documentation.
  • Communicate proactively with customers to explain documentation requirements, collect records, clarify missing information, and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Sales Representatives to provide visibility into deal status, outstanding items, funding status, and delivery timelines.
  • Review, approve, and sign off on completed deal packets to authorize billing.
  • Maintain full compliance with all federal, state, and industry regulations, including Truth in Lending, OFAC, Red Flags, privacy rules, and required disclosures.
  • Ensure proper document storage, secure handling of customer information, and adherence to dealer and CAT Financial compliance standards.
  • Prevent fraudulent or high-risk transactions by validating customer identity, residence, income, and business legitimacy.
  • Confirm proper insurance coverage is in place before delivery and that all lender-required conditions are satisfied.
  • Identify and correct incomplete, inaccurate, or non-compliant documentation to protect the dealership from risk.
  • Act as a senior financial advisor to customers, guiding them through financing, leasing, tax considerations, and TCO impacts.
  • Communicate proactively with customers to ensure a smooth and transparent experience from application to funding.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Caterpillar Financial and other lending partners.
  • Collaborate with lending partners to resolve application issues, negotiate terms, and secure approvals.
  • Coordinate effectively with customers, lenders, and internal teams to ensure faster, smoother funding and equipment delivery.
  • Monitor, analyze, and review sales department financial results with management.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and performance management for the finance team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance team.
