About The Position

The Finance Manager is a hands-on, build-oriented member of MVP’s finance team and a business partner to Operations, RCM, and Sales & Marketing. The role builds and maintains a bottoms-up doctor-level forecast, produces recurring reporting for leadership, and develops cohort, four-wall, and pod-level analytics to inform investment, consolidation, and exit decisions. The position is remote and limited to candidates in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, or Indiana. The Finance Manager will design and establish analytical infrastructure that is not yet mature, then operate and improve it. The role requires working directly with data, building detailed models, and translating analysis into concise recommendations for CFO and COO audiences. It has exposure to executive leadership and the private equity sponsor, with analytical workstreams that reach the board and influence provider-performance measurement, capital allocation, and recapitalization preparation. Midwest Vision Partners is a private equity–backed, multi-platform ophthalmology company. The company was founded in 2019 in partnership with Alpine Investors and supports eye care professionals across multiple locations. Its stated mission is to improve and preserve vision by cultivating a network of ophthalmologists and optometrists who provide patient-centered care.

  • Advanced financial modeling capability, including building a driver-based operating model from a blank workbook.

  • Strategic judgment paired with analytical rigor, including the ability to interpret analyses and recommend actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to executive audiences and communicate effectively with operators and physicians.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, a bias toward building rather than waiting, and unquestionable integrity.

  • Maintain the addback tracking schedule and supporting documentation for quality-of-earnings diligence.
  • Prepare recurring financial reporting for the sponsor and lender group to a standard that requires review rather than rework.
  • Partner with the Controller and Accounting Manager to support a high-quality close and test, validate, and adopt finance systems and related processes.
  • Support the enterprise data lake analytics build-out, validate migrated reporting logic, and retire legacy reporting tools.
