About The Position

Abbott’s nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages. The Finance Manager supports the Ensure® brand through full financial planning and analysis, partnering with Commercial (Marketing) and Finance to produce forecasts, analyze results, and advise on business opportunities. The role is based in Columbus, Ohio, at Abbott’s nutrition manufacturing plant.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.
• At least 6 years of applicable experience in diversified finance or accounting roles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with multiple organizational levels and functions.
• Ability to effectively manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Proven critical-thinking skills to identify and communicate business implications of financial results.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and complete assignments involving multiple functions.
• Self-starter and highly motivated, with ability to manage shifting priorities.
• Strong PC and systems skills, including experience with Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of SAP and/or PowerBI experience or knowledge.
• MBA.
• Experience in commercial finance environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead full financial planning and analysis in support of the Ensure® brand.
• Collaborate with Commercial (Marketing) to build monthly and annual sales and expense forecasts and convert them into full P&L forecasts for quarterly LBE deliverables.
• Prepare schedules for Corporate submissions and forecast review meetings, producing meaningful and accurate forecasts.
• Communicate forecast assumptions and analysis to Finance leadership and Ensure® brand partners.
• Report and analyze monthly close results and communicate variances to leadership.
• Provide financial support, recommendations, and insight to brand partners and the Finance organization regarding brand opportunities and assessments.
• Assess the reasonableness and relevance of financial assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities associated with financial forecasts.
• Interpret financial data and propose sound recommendations to finance and business leadership.
