About The Position

Abbott’s nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages. The Finance Manager supports the Ensure® brand and is based at Abbott’s nutrition manufacturing plant in Columbus, Ohio. The role provides full financial planning and analysis, prepares sales and expense forecasts and related P&L deliverables, analyzes monthly results, and advises brand partners and Finance leadership on financial opportunities, risks, and recommendations. The position requires interpreting financial data and applying sound judgment to assess assumptions and support business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance.
• At least 6 years of applicable experience in diversified finance or accounting roles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with multiple organizational levels.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Critical-thinking skills to identify and communicate business implications of financial results.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and complete assignments involving multiple functions.
• Self-starter and highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities that may shift regularly.
• Strong PC and systems skills, including experience with Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of SAP and/or PowerBI experience or knowledge.
• MBA.
• Experience in commercial finance environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead full financial planning and analysis in support of the Ensure® brand.
• Collaborate with Commercial (Marketing) to develop monthly and annual sales and expense forecasts and convert them into full P&L forecasts for quarterly LBE deliverables.
• Prepare schedules for Corporate submissions and forecast review meetings, producing meaningful and accurate forecasts.
• Communicate forecast assumptions and analysis to Finance leadership and Ensure® brand partners.
• Report and analyze monthly close results and communicate variances to leadership.
• Provide financial support, recommendations, and insight to brand partners and the Finance organization regarding brand opportunities and assessments.
• Assess the reasonableness and relevance of financial assumptions, highlighting risks and opportunities associated with financial forecasts.
• Interpret financial concepts and data, identify risks and opportunities, and propose recommendations to finance and business leadership.
• Lead cross-functional projects and complete assignments involving multiple functions.
