Finance Manager

Kargo•San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Kargo is hiring a Finance Manager to support the company’s mission of connecting physical freight operations with the digital ecosystem through smart infrastructure. Kargo’s loading dock sensor platform verifies incoming and outgoing freight and provides data to help shippers and carriers manage dock operations and material flow. The Finance Manager will own core finance and accounting operations, including the monthly close, financial reporting, billing and receivables, payroll and benefits administration, treasury, accounts payable, compliance operations, and finance systems. The role will review work performed by an outsourced controller team, manage day-to-day relationships with auditors and tax providers, and maintain reporting schedules for leadership, the board, and investors. The position also owns the ERP implementation and administration, and the fixed-asset register and its reconciliation to deployment data. The successful candidate has substantial finance and accounting experience, ideally at a venture-backed B2B SaaS or hardware-enabled SaaS company. They are comfortable building processes, documenting controls, and handling hands-on operational work as the only full-time finance team member besides the CFO. Kargo is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
