About The Position

The Platforms & Services (P&S) Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) is designed to accelerate the development and career of highly-motivated recent college graduates who aspire to achieve their leadership potential. This is accomplished through challenging and rewarding rotational assignments, technical and leadership training, leadership opportunities and exposure, mentorship, and advanced education assistance. Participants will gain diverse experiences through challenging rotational assignments, technical and soft-skills training, leadership opportunities, and mentorship. The program consists of three, one-year rotations, each with increasing responsibility. BAE Systems offers tuition assistance for graduate school. Members of the program also complete a mix of technical and soft-skill training. The program has dedicated leadership and coordinators for oversight, and each participant is assigned a mentor. The program seeks to facilitate the growth of an individual's leadership skills and style through various training and networking opportunities, including annual week-long leadership development conferences. During this three-year rotational program, participants will have the opportunity to experience assignments in several finance/business functions, business areas, and product groups nationwide. Rotation examples include Project Finance, Program Control, Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounting, Pricing & Estimating, Operations Finance, Business Systems & Solutions, and Compliance / Internal Audit. An early start option is available for eligible candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree prior to the official program start in June.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Math, or related major from an AACSB accredited college or university
  • Strong leadership potential demonstrated via academia, extra-curricular activities, or employment
  • Achievement in non-academic pursuits such as clubs and organizations, special projects, military service, and prior work experience
  • Internship/Co-op or project experience in related field
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft 365 tools
  • Capacity and motivation for hard work
  • Ability to relocate 3 times over the course of the program
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance

  • Exposure to Power BI or similar data visualization tools
