About The Position

The Finance Intern is hosted by the Finance Department at a manufacturing or distribution facility, or at headquarters. The internship runs from May 24, 2027, through July 30, 2027, at the Global Headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. The intern supports finance activities related to manufacturing operations and headquarters, and participates in early career development programming, including workshops, information sessions, and networking opportunities through the GSC Program Team.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship or co-op program.
• Must have at least one year of work experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Be completing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Have previous Sherwin-Williams internship or co-op experience.
• Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting, including work experience, extracurricular activities, or military service.
• Be a rising or current junior or senior in college or university at the start of the internship program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager with monthly financial reporting for manufacturing sites.
• Participate in process improvement projects.
• Help review manufacturing costs and identify variances.
• Support finance teams working with manufacturing sites.
• Assist with reviewing monthly profit and loss reports and researching issues.
• Help with fixed asset activities, purchase orders, requisitions, and work orders.
• Complete other finance and administrative tasks as needed.
• Engage in early career development programming, including workshops, information sessions, and networking opportunities through the GSC Program Team.
