Tenure Track Faculty Position: Finance
About The Position
Covenant College is seeking a tenure-track faculty member for its Business Department to teach a variety of courses in finance and accounting concentrations. The college is a Christian institution emphasizing liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition, located on a scenic campus in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. The position begins July 1, 2027, with rank and compensation commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Business/Finance, professional experience, and the ability to teach courses such as Principles of Finance, Corporate Financial Management, Investments, Principles of Accounting, Cost Accounting, Business Law, and Statistics.
Requirements
- A terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in Business/Finance from a regionally accredited institution
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching
- Practitioner experience in Business/Finance that will elevate academic instruction in the classroom and help prepare students for careers in the field
- Interest in mentoring undergraduates
- Commitment to the mission of Covenant College
Responsibilities
- Teach a mix of business and core courses for a total of four classes each semester
- Advise and mentor students
- Meet with prospective students
- Participate in the life of the campus community and faculty governance
