About The Position

Emory University's Department of Biology is seeking candidates for a tenure-track position at any rank in the area of ecology. The successful candidate will use empirical approaches to test fundamental ecological theory. Research interests in population, community, evolutionary, or behavioral ecology are particularly desired. The role involves teaching both lecture- and field-based ecology courses, training and mentoring PhD students, and contributing to the department's undergraduate teaching and research missions. The position is based in Atlanta, GA, within a collaborative and well-resourced research environment that includes connections with other Emory schools and the broader Atlanta ecology community.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Train and mentor PhD students through the Population Biology, Ecology & Evolution program.
  • Contribute to the department’s undergraduate teaching mission.
  • Contribute to the undergraduate research mission of the college and department.
  • Develop an independent, externally funded research program.
