The Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a physician faculty member for an open rank position (Assistant, Associate, or Professor). The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited residency and be board certified or in the process of becoming board certified by the American Board of Radiology. This role emphasizes clinical care within an academic setting, with opportunities to engage in clinical trials, health services/outcomes/policy research, translational biology, and medical physics research. A strong commitment to residency education, multidisciplinary cancer patient care, and the quality and equity of care delivery is essential. The Department of Radiation Oncology has a tripartite mission focused on patient care, education, and research, and is highly ranked for NIH funding. It comprises over 70 faculty across several divisions and operates at six sites in the Atlanta area, including the Emory Proton Therapy Center. Winship Cancer Institute, Georgia's only NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, coordinates cancer research and care across the university. Emory University School of Medicine is also recognized for its expertise in various other medical fields. The successful applicant will demonstrate a history of academic scholarship and achievement, alongside a robust clinical background.
