The Department of Sociology, Criminology, & Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites enthusiastic educators for a tenure-track position in Criminology beginning August 2027. We are particularly interested in candidates whose teaching and scholarship emphasize the social, cultural, political, or structural dimensions of crime, law, and justice. Our collaborative department is dedicated to engaged teaching, experiential learning, undergraduate research, and faculty-student mentorship. Faculty are encouraged to integrate their expertise into teaching and contribute to a vibrant intellectual community on campus and beyond. This 9.5-month, tenure-track appointment carries a teaching load of 20 credit hours per academic year, typically met by teaching five 4-credit courses across the fall and spring semesters. The position is on campus.
