The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking to hire three full-time faculty members at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track), Associate Professor (tenured), or Professor (tenured) in quantitative and/or computational methods. These positions have 9-month academic appointments and begin in Fall 2027. Associate Professor and Professor candidates will be considered for tenure review upon hire. The department aims to strengthen its long-term capacity in quantitative and computational methods within psychological science through this cluster hire. Successful candidates will be expected to conduct research, secure grant funding, teach courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and contribute to the academic community. A key focus is on candidates who can demonstrate or show potential for developing and sustaining an active, productive, and impactful research program, as well as enhancing graduate training in these specialized areas. The department typically assigns a teaching load of three courses per year, spread across undergraduate and graduate programs. Evidence of teaching effectiveness is considered a plus. The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences is dedicated to scientific discovery, providing high-quality education, and engaging in outreach. Collaboration is highly valued, with many faculty involved in interdisciplinary projects. Support for early-career faculty includes a formal mentoring program. The department offers doctoral programs in several areas, including clinical psychology, cognition, cognitive neuroscience, social and personality psychology, industrial-organizational psychology, and behavioral and cellular neuroscience, as well as a master's program in industrial-organizational psychology.
