About The Position

Turing is seeking finance experts to work with researchers to improve the performance of AI models. Experts may bring experience in areas such as capital markets, portfolio management, research, trading, quantitative finance, investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or accounting. No prior AI experience is required.

The role involves evaluating language models in finance areas where they underperform, creating rubrics to assess model capabilities in relevant areas, and collaborating with AI researchers and other finance experts on training methods, evaluation strategies, and benchmarks. The freelance engagement is fully remote with flexible hours, typically 10–30 hours per week, and is expected to last about one month, with possible extension depending on performance and project needs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in capital markets, portfolio management, research, trading, quantitative finance, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, growth equity, FP&A, accounting, financial consulting, or another finance role.
• Strong grasp of financial concepts relevant to the candidate's domain, such as investment analysis, research, forecasting, revenue builds, corporate finance, asset management, and risk management.
• Excellent written communication in English.

Nice To Haves

• CFA Level I, II, or III.
• CA, CPA, or an MBA in Finance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate LLM models in finance areas where they do not perform well.
• Create rubrics to assess model capabilities in areas of finance expertise, such as deal analysis and M&A assessments.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and fellow finance experts to shape training methods, evaluation strategies, and benchmarks.
