About The Position

The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for accurately accounting for all donations and incoming monies, upholding excellent communication skills with donors and team members, and the ability to multi-task while changing workflow based on priority. The position will exercise independent judgment, work well with a team, and provide reliability and financial confidentiality for a growing non-profit whose Mission is to support Veterans through various programs.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Financial Software and Tools to streamline and automate processes
• Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Suite, and other programs
• High ethical standards, ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fast and proficient typing abilities
• Self-starter and multi-tasking abilities
• Detail-oriented
• Completes tasks and deadlines on time
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Professional and passionate about our Mission, Veterans, and military families

Responsibilities

• Deposit preparation
• Weekly A/P check runs
• Perform all aspects of financial accounting using QuickBooks Online
• Daily incoming mail and processing remote deposits
• Account for all ACH donations with proper documentation
• Hold access to Fraud Protection Services to secure all funds
• Save documents for auditor compliance using Google Drives
• Track Restricted and Unrestricted donations
• Submit credit card expenses and credits in QBO
• Communicate with Development Team for accurate entries into Salesforce
• File all 1099 forms in compliance with IRS deadlines
• Reconcile monthly QBO and Salesforce for accuracy
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
• Assist the Finance Director in completing yearly audit
• Facilitate and complete all yearly State Registration with an outside vendor
• Professional communication via e-mail, telephone, and in-person
