About The Position

Reporting to the VP, Finance, this role provides administrative and financial support to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial processes and records. The Finance Clerk will support the Finance team in a variety of functions, including but not limited to: Financial Data and Record Management: Ensure accuracy in data input, management, and integrity of financial information. Update and maintain financial records, filing systems, and track financial transactions. Compile financial spreadsheets, reports, statements, and other documents as needed. Accounting and Financial Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including completing forms, filing, and responding to phone calls and emails. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including completing forms, filing, and responding to phone calls and emails. General Duties: Complete other related tasks as required in a timely manner. Requirements

  • Must meet eligibility requirements of the Canada Summer Jobs Program and Ottawa Salus pre-employment requirements
  • Currently a post-secondary student or recent graduate in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with or understanding of computerized accounting systems (e.g., Sage 300)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems
  • English is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingualism (English/French) an asset.
