About The Position

The Finance Business Systems Lead leverages data analytics and AI‑enabled technologies to deliver strategic financial and operational insights that support profitability and operational excellence across multiple divisions. This role partners with Finance Managers, divisional teams, and leadership to modernize financial reporting, enhance financial controls, and provide forward‑looking, insight‑driven decision support. Lead S/4HANA implementation activities for Finance, coordinating requirements, testing support, and post‑go‑live reporting enhancements in collaboration with divisional stakeholders and IT. The position also provides ongoing ad hoc analytical support to the Vice President, Finance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of: Finance/Accounting Business Analytics Computer Science (with finance exposure)
  • Hands‑on experience applying analytics, AI and automation tools (e.g., PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Perplexity) to finance processes.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or IT‑enabled finance roles within a data‑driven environment.
  • Experience in a project‑based manufacturing or automotive environment preferred; SAP ERP exposure required.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills with strong systems and data integration capability.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex insights for non‑financial stakeholders.
  • Big 4 accounting experience is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of advanced analytics, AI capabilities, automation, and reporting solutions at both group and divisional levels.
  • Deploy technology enabled KPIs, dashboards, and financial processes aligned to operational processes and performance drivers.
  • Build advanced reporting frameworks focused on key balance sheet drivers (inventory, AR, AP) and critical P&L drivers (overtime, scrap, freight).
  • Assess financial and operational controls, identifying gaps and recommending AI‑driven enhancements to improve accuracy, timeliness, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate and consolidate monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across divisions.
  • Reconcile and validate intercompany transactions and review divisional reporting packages, investigating variances and ensuring compliance with group standards.
  • Monitor key financial and operational metrics, translating data into clear, actionable insights for management.
  • Support divisional teams with vendor callback confirmations to strengthen financial controls.
  • Support quarterly forecasting and the annual budgeting process, including consolidation of divisional financials and preparation of management presentations.
  • Analyze variances between actual, forecasted, and budgeted results and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support profitability improvement and executive decision‑making through ad hoc, time‑sensitive financial analyses.
  • Lead the finance workstream for SAP S/4HANA deployment and stabilization, partnering with divisional teams and corporate IT to define reporting requirements, support testing/user readiness, and drive adoption of standardized finance processes and data.
  • Works closely with Finance Managers, the VP of Finance, and cross‑functional teams (Finance, Operations, HR) to deliver high‑quality insights.
  • Partners with group office leadership and plant management to support data‑driven operational and financial decisions.
  • Collaborates with divisional and corporate IT teams to deploy AI tools, automation solutions, and reporting platforms.
