Finance Business Process Specialist
About The Position
The Finance Business Process Specialist owns, governs, and continuously improves core finance business processes, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany, and Financial Close and Consolidations, with a primary focus on the Oracle Cloud ERP platform. The role bridges Finance operations and Information Technology, aligning system configurations, data integrity standards, and process controls with organizational objectives while advancing automation and efficiency across Finance. The specialist collaborates with other business process owners to optimize processes and solutions across work streams. The role serves as a subject matter expert for assigned processes across Badger entities and geographies. It includes reviewing process compliance, managing Oracle Cloud master data, identifying improvement opportunities, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, developing training and SOPs, and responding to Finance data requests and reporting needs. Compensation is commensurate with education and/or experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, operations, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in process management, transformation, or operations.
- Experience with large ERP systems; Oracle Cloud ERP is preferred.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies.
- Proven experience documenting processes, developing SOPs, and implementing process improvements in a Finance environment.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial audit processes.
- Experience interfacing with senior-level stakeholders.
- Ability to meet the role’s mobility and physical requirements, including use of office equipment, lifting up to 20 pounds, clear vision and hearing, and effective communication.
- Ability to travel occasionally for meetings and training sessions.

Responsibilities
- Own and govern assigned Finance business processes end to end, ensuring process integrity across Badger entities and geographies.
- Lead periodic process reviews and audits to verify compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, and coordinate remediation plans as needed.
- Oversee Oracle Cloud master data governance, including chart of accounts and cost center structures, to ensure accuracy and timely maintenance.
- Identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities in Finance workflows, and develop business cases and implementation roadmaps for approved improvements.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives with Shared Services, IT, Procurement, and Operations.
- Develop training materials and standard operating procedures for Finance processes and Oracle Cloud functionality, and deliver knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Respond to ad hoc Finance data requests and prepare process performance reports for leadership using Oracle Cloud and OTBI reporting tools.
- Collaborate with other business process owners to optimize processes and solutions across work streams.
