About The Position

The Finance Business Process Specialist owns, governs, and continually improves core finance processes, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany, and Financial Close and Consolidations, with a primary focus on the Oracle Cloud ERP platform. The role connects Finance operations and Information Technology, aligning system configurations, data integrity standards, and process controls with organizational objectives while promoting automation and efficiency across the Finance function. The specialist collaborates with other business process owners to optimize processes and solutions across work streams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, operations, or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in process management, transformation, or operations.
Experience with large ERP systems and process improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated experience documenting processes, developing SOPs, and implementing process improvements in a Finance environment.
Familiarity with SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial audit processes.
Experience interfacing with senior-level stakeholders.
Ability to move within work environments, use office equipment, lift up to 20 pounds, and communicate effectively; clear vision and hearing are also required.
Occasional travel for meetings and training sessions is required.

Nice To Haves

Oracle Cloud ERP experience is preferred.
Experience with OTBI or similar reporting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary subject matter expert for assigned Finance processes and ensure end-to-end process integrity across all Badger entities and geographies.
Lead periodic process reviews and audits to verify compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, and coordinate remediation plans as needed.
Oversee Oracle Cloud master data governance, including chart of accounts and cost center structures, ensuring accuracy and timely maintenance.
Identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities in Finance workflows, and develop business cases and implementation roadmaps for approved improvements.
Lead or participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives with Shared Services, IT, Procurement, and Operations.
Develop training materials and standard operating procedures for Finance processes and Oracle Cloud functionality, and deliver knowledge-sharing sessions.
Respond to ad hoc Finance data requests and prepare process performance reports for leadership using Oracle Cloud and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) reporting tools.
