About The Position

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for finance and audit support professionals experienced in reviewing financial documents, spreadsheets, slide decks, reconciliations, control materials, audit request support, reporting files, process documentation, and presentation-ready business artifacts for accuracy, rigor, clarity, and domain quality. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on finance and audit artifact review, rubric-based evaluation, document and spreadsheet assessment, slide deck quality review, structured feedback, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will evaluate AI-generated work products and apply subject-matter expertise to identify factual, analytical, aesthetic, and presentation issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, audit support, internal audit, financial reporting, controls, reconciliations, process documentation, or related work.
  • Native or professional fluency in English.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong experience with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs.
  • Ability to evaluate documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to provide structured feedback.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment.
  • Academic backgrounds in accounting, finance, business, economics, audit, information systems, or related fields may be relevant.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, CMA, ACCA, or comparable finance, accounting, audit, or controls-related credential.
  • Experience creating or reviewing audit schedules, reconciliations, control narratives, testing support, reporting packages, variance analyses, or management presentations.
  • Experience reviewing presentation decks for clarity, polish, and business-facing communication quality.
  • Strong ability to evaluate both financial substance and visual/presentation quality.
  • Advanced degree from a reputable institution may be valuable.
  • Professional training in audit, accounting, controls, financial reporting, or finance process documentation may also be relevant depending on project scope.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks involving finance, accounting, audit support, reconciliations, reporting, controls, and process documentation.
  • Review financial materials for accuracy, completeness, rigor, clarity, and practical relevance.
  • Assess artifacts involving month-end close support, variance analysis, audit schedules, control narratives, evidence packages, and reporting summaries.
  • Identify inaccurate assumptions, weak financial logic, unclear documentation, incomplete support, or poor linkage between analysis and conclusions.
  • Review materials involving audit requests, PBC schedules, internal controls, SOX-related documentation, testing support, and evidence organization.
  • Assess whether audit support materials are clear, traceable, complete, and professionally structured.
  • Evaluate control descriptions, process narratives, supporting schedules, and issue summaries for consistency and usability.
  • Provide clear written feedback that improves finance and audit support quality.
  • Review spreadsheets for structure, logic, calculations, formatting, usability, and consistency.
  • Assess slide decks for organization, visual clarity, executive readability, and presentation quality.
  • Identify factual, aesthetic, formatting, and presentation errors across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace files.
  • Apply consistent review standards across documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
