Finance AI Trainer - Remote

Aston Carter•New York, NY
•$40,000 - $60,000•Remote

About The Position

The Finance AI Trainer creates realistic finance tasks based on their own professional workflows, including scenarios, colleague-style prompts, and supporting files such as financial statements, models, data extracts, term sheets, board or investment committee materials, and correspondence. They run the tasks through frontier AI models and assess the resulting deliverables against professional standards. They compare model outputs on identical inputs, document strengths and shortcomings, and write detailed grading rubrics that specify required assumptions, calculations, risk analysis, and recommendations. They identify concrete errors with supporting evidence, including faulty model logic, unsupported assumptions, misread financials, mishandled source files, unit or scaling errors, missed risks, and interpretations that do not address the request. The work spans valuation and modeling, credit, FP&A, markets, treasury, and risk, and may include reviewing and refining tasks created by other experts. This is described as fully remote contract work, with a minimum availability of 10 hours per week and no weekly maximum; full-time hours are available. Scheduling is flexible, with multi-day task timers. The posting gives inconsistent assignment durations (12 weeks, 13 weeks, and “13 week DP”) and also labels the position permanent. Compensation is described as $40–$125 per hour USD, paid via PayPal, and separately as an annual pay range of $40,000–$60,000. It also states that the independent contractor position has no benefits. Access to Claude and ChatGPT is provided through the project, without requiring a personal subscription.
