Electrical Engineer AI Trainer (Remote)

Aston Carter•City of Albany, NY
•$45,000 - $60,000•Remote

About The Position

Evaluate how frontier AI models handle realistic clinical work, such as creating an assessment and plan from a history and exam, performing medication reconciliation and interaction checks, making triage decisions, preparing discharge summaries and patient education, or applying clinical protocols. Assemble realistic professional files based on day-to-day practitioner workflows and create tasks that a competent professional would complete correctly but that a frontier model currently gets wrong. Tasks may range from compact exercises using a handful of files to larger scenarios that take several days to build. The position is fully remote, contract work with flexible scheduling and multi-day task timers. Access to Claude and ChatGPT is provided through the project. Contractors are paid via PayPal; the posting states a rate of $40–$125 per hour and separately lists an annual pay range of $45,000–$60,000. No benefits are offered.

Requirements

  • Active or recent clinical license: RN, NP, PA, MD or DO, PharmD, or an allied health license with independent clinical judgment.
  • Hands-on practitioner experience at an individual-contributor level; managerial-only experience does not meet this requirement.
  • Full professional or native-level written and spoken English, with strong written communication.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to orient quickly to unfamiliar files and develop an accurate working understanding, including material partly outside one's specialization.
  • Ability to interpret and apply feedback independently and to seek answers when needed.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly on unfamiliar work using written materials and instructions, including incomplete materials.
  • General familiarity with AI and LLM tools, such as Claude or ChatGPT, and judgment to distinguish well-reasoned answers from plausible but incorrect ones.
  • Baseline technology literacy, including cloud file tools such as Google Workspace, browser profiles, installing desktop apps, and everyday file handling.
  • Availability of at least 10 hours per week; there is no weekly maximum.
  • Based in the United States, Canada, or the UK.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in the relevant field is preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered where their practical work is real.
